CELINA, Ohio – Innovation and customer service have always been a top priority for our team at Versa Pak Ltd.

We are proud of our 30 custom manufacturing lines that allow us to find a solution and manufacture custom plastic bags, films or sheeting needed by our customers in packaging.

In 2010, our company began to grow quickly, and we’ve continued to add on to our facility each year. Since 2010, we’ve grown from approximately 40 employees to more than 150.  We’ve expanded our building several times, including a warehouse expansion in 2018. In 2021, we began the process of expanding to 30 total lines and an additional 56,000 square feet of space. After completion, the expansion will have added over a dozen new jobs at our Celina, Ohio, manufacturing facility.

In recent years, Versa Pak has been taking multiple steps to address a shift in our internal culture, focusing on our values, vision and mission from the ground up. We have made an effort to focus on growing stronger leadership, having greater accountability and building better relationships with our team. We have also incorporated training, mentorship and coaching programs.

Versa Pak has been Safe Quality Food (SQF) certified since 2016 and has been recognized for exhibiting a high standard for the SQF program. By being SQF certified, Versa Pak is able to provide a global opportunity for distributors: The certification allows us to ship our products overseas. We are also Kosher certified and FDA registered and compliant, as well as audited through the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

At Versa Pak, food safety doesn’t end at quality control. We keep up-to-date with multiple certifications, and each team member undergoes continuous SQF training as well.

Customers and prospects can visit our website, versa-pak.com, and learn about the capabilities of our products and our full-service research and quality lab. The on-site lab provides sample testing and quality measurements on plastic packaging variables such as Elmendorf tear, elongation and tensile strength, seal strength, impact resistance and more. This research and testing is essential when developing custom packaging.

Our web users can also utilize interactive bag calculators to determine the size of a box liner bag and total bag size required, the size of a pallet cover bag and total bag size required, and the weight of low density polyethylene bags and sheeting.

We also feature our state-of-the-art Co-Extrusion Lines that allows packagers to combine multiple features, such as moisture barriers and puncture resistance in the food industry, or various slips for consumer products. Co-extruded blends are a combination of two or more resins engineered into a multi-layer film.

We credit our growth over the last decade to our customer service and dedication to top-quality products. We work with our customers and distributors from start to finish to custom-engineer the precise product they need to meet the packaging expectations of today and tomorrow.
